At Scrub-A-Dub Car Wash in Grand Blanc, we offer some services that many of our customers like to reward our workers for their extra effort. Our attendants are compensated a non-gratuitous wage, so additional rewards are not necessary but always appreciated.
Entrance Area:
A heavily soiled or snow-covered vehicle sometimes needs additional work to remove debris. Our attendants are trained and expected to spray and brush all vehicles in a certain way. Some of our customers like to reward our attendants for extra effort which ranges from $1 to $2. We only ask that if you decide to offer the reward, please make sure you get the effort desired. Scrub-A-Dub attendants must be conscience of other customers in line so please understand their time and efforts may vary based on the length of line. Any gratuities given to one person are divided amongst those attendants in the entrance area.
Hand Drying Area:
Our attendants are expected to wipe down all vehicles to the best of their ability. Gratuities are not expected and not to be “begged” for. Sometimes extra attention and effort can be rewarded if windows, mirrors, front and back windshields are taken care beyond expectations. Typical rewards range from $1 to $2 with some rewarding up to $3 to $5.
Interior Cleaning:
Our interior cleaners work hard and have specific guidelines to meet when cleaning out your vehicle. For heavily soiled vehicles, our cleaners appreciate gratuities in the $8 to $10 range. For average soiled vehicles, our cleaners typically earn a gratuity of $5 to $6.
About 50% of our customers will provide a gratuity to our entrance area sprayers and/or our hand dryers. Whereas about 95% of our interior cleaners receive some sort of gratuities.
